Dr. Ashfaque E Alam (Anup)

Ashfaque E Alam is the Research Coordinator and Director of Bengaliness Research Initiative (BRI). He is also a Member Activist of International Crimes Strategy Forum (ICSF). He works as a Lecturer in Semiconductor Education at King's College London and Faculty (on leave) at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). A Physicist by profession, specialised in energy technology. Interested in public understanding of science, policy thinking and multidisciplinary research engagements. 

Ashfaque has completed his Doctoral research in Sheffield Hallam University, UK on Applied physics and application of technology in society. He has previous post-graduate research experience at Universiy of Seffield and Emerging Technology Research Centre (EMTERC), De Montfort University, Leicester. He has been working in Academia for the last 10 years in different positions such as a researcher, teaching associate and member of faculty. He is a lifelong devotee and a long time activist in justice activism. He has been heavily involved with community blogging since 2007. He is keen to delve into further research involving multidisciplinary collaboration and coordination. Critical thinking and public understanding of academia are particularly his fields of interests when it comes to non-STEM collaborative ventures.
